How We're Helping
West End Center is a community anchor and will continue to serve and provide value to our students and families as long as possible, even though we are not able to provide childcare during the mandatory school closure.
We wholeheartedly believe that we need each other now more than ever, and we look forward to the day when our building is once again filled with the voices and sounds of the children we care so deeply about. So, what will we be doing until that happens?
WEC staff will continue to provide enriching academic opportunities via Facebook
Mr. Danny, Mr. Nathan, and Mr. Ryan will lead various activities on Facebook Live that students will be able to participate in from home.-
WEC will have snack bags available for pickup Tuesday and Wednesday in the foyer of the elementary school building 11am-3pm. Each bag will contain a week’s worth of snacks and families may take one per child.
WEC staff will call each of our families weekly to check-in and touch base and make referrals to the appropriate resources as necessary.
WEC staff will participate in online training relative to the field so that we can continue to provide top-notch programming and service delivery.
We will continue to be a resource and a rock to those who depend on us. You may never meet our students but you can still make an important impact on their lives. If you have the capacity to give at this time, we ask that you please donate.
